New Orleans / Oxford, Ohio
December 2006 - January 2007
Text derived from fragments of improvised and transcribed video-talks conducted in the Marigny district of New Orleans, assembled into a narrative recollecting my experience with a sherrif's deputy on the interstate in northern Kentucky. My car ran out of gas late at night on the interstate, so I took to the road with a gas can. Within minutes I was picked up by the deputy, who drove me to a gas station, waited for me to fill the can, and drove me back to my car. I spilled some of the gas in the back-seat of his SUV on accident.
