Camille PB

BACK TO LIST OF PARTICIPANTS

Camille PB is an occasional poet – she writes when she is asked to. When she does she tries to reprocess discourse she reads elsewhere in order to get a sense of what they are saying. Her last series of texts was written within the context of a creative writing course, which is something that is pretty rare in France. (here cam pom page link). Currently she is a Visiting Scholar in the Media Study and Romance Language departments at SUNY Buffalo, and is interested in spam and other non-textual forms of noises. She is working on a Masters thesis (at the Ecole Normale superieure in Lyon, France) that deals with the poetics of code in today's internet textualities: she tries to learn from non-legitimate but still rather experimental forms of poetry and concentrates on everyday practices of textualizing networks through text processing techniques. She is helping organize the 2007 edition of the EPC E-Poetry Festival organised by Loss Pequeño Glazier, to be held in France in May.
